Mrs. Laurie Fullen
My husband, Jason, and I have been married for 22 years. We live in Germantown, TN with our four children. Noah (19) is a sophomore, attending Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. Jacob (18) is a senior, attending SBA. Sara (14) is a freshman, attending SBA. Asher (9) is a fourth grader, attending SFA. We have been a part of the SFA family for 13 years.
I have a passion for helping children that struggle specifically with reading. Being the parent of two dyslexic children myself, I have the unique opportunity to see things from both sides. I am SMILA (Simultaneous Multi-Sensory Institute of Language Arts) trained and certified. I previously worked in the SFA Enhance Program and taught as a long term sub in the 2nd grade PLUS program.
Fun facts...I LOVE ANIMALS! I'm a sucker for a Golden Retriever. I have two dogs (Hazel and Dash), two ducks (Max and LuLu), and a horse (Finn). My daughter rides Finn competitively in the Hunter/Jumper classes at the local "A" rated shows, he is a 13 year old Dutch Warmblood from Holland. I also foster for the Memphis Area Golden Retriever Rescue (MAGRR).
