Mrs. Laurie Fullen

My husband, Jason, and I have been married for 25 years. We live in Germantown, TN with our four children. Noah and Jacob graduated from SBA and are now in college. Sara is a senior at SBA this year and Asher is a seventh grader here at SFA. We have been a part of the SFA family, in some capacity, for 16 years.

 

I have a passion for helping children learn to read. Being the parent of two dyslexic children myself, I have a unique perspective and opportunity to see things from both sides. I am trained and certified in SMILA and Lindamood-Bell and have also had some Orton Gillingham training. I am excited to have Hazel joining me for her third year to support our RISE students as they work to build their reading skills. She earned her Therapy Dog certification during the summer of 2023. 

 

Fun facts...I LOVE ANIMALS! I have two goldens, Hazel and Becks, a mini schnauzer named Dash, three Silver Appleyards named Max, Mazie and Delilah, and a Dutch Warmblood named Finn, who my daughter rides competitively.
