St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School welcomes students, ages 2 years–8th grade, of all faiths from around the Memphis area, with a student body that includes more than 550 students from 33 zip codes. If you’re looking for a Lakeland private or Catholic school for your child’s education, come visit us and see what St. Francis can do for your child.
St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School offers an excellent education and many of our 8th grade graduates have attended excellent Memphis high schools such as St. Benedict at Auburndale, Christian Brothers, and St. Agnes Academy. We’re proud of our SFA alumni, many of whom have gone on to become valedictorians, salutatorians, National Merit Finalists and National Merit Commended Scholars.
We meet the academic, spiritual and social needs of our students. We offer a challenging curriculum for traditional and gifted students, and our PLUS Program supports the educational needs of students with learning differences. Our commitment to academic excellence was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in 2010 when St. Francis was named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
In addition to a traditional Catholic education, we place great emphasis on science and math through our STEM program, as well as music and art. Our newly renovated library is just one of the many spaces where students are encouraged to learn and work collaboratively. We will be installing Apple TV’s in classrooms to enhance our students’ learning experience.
Looking ahead, St. Francis will be the first Catholic elementary school in Memphis to launch Project Lead the Way across all grade levels in the 2018-2019 school year. We are excited to offer PLTW programs to our students, giving them the tools to solve problems and skills for success.
St. Francis is also proud to offer 66 athletic teams and 30 academic clubs where students can enjoy and develop their God-given talents and interests.
A St. Francis education helps your child prepare for success in some of the area’s best high schools, and beyond! Contact Susan Fetz at 901-381-2548 to schedule a visit and learn more about what our school has to offer.
