LS Choir, LS Spanish, P.E.

Teaching has always been my calling and being at this school has been a blessing. I have been teaching for 22 years and this year begins my 20th year here at SFA. I have worn many hats here in those 20 years and I have enjoyed every minute. I am currently teaching 3K-2nd grade lower school Spanish. I am teaching/assisting in P.E. for 2K-8th grade and I also am the director of the lower school choir.
I am a graduate of the University of Memphis, go tigers! My passion and experience with the performing arts have found a home here at St. Francis as I share my love of language, movement, art and music with our wonderful students. I have been able to create a cross-curricular experience for our students fusing all of the elements of the arts. My favorite part of teaching is getting to see how much the students learn and grow from day to day.
Teaching at SFA has been very special for me as an educator and also a parent. My daughter attended this school from Jr. Kindergarten through 8th grade and she feels that SFA really prepared her for high school and college. After graduating from SBA, my daughter is now currently attending Rhodes College as a Clarence Day scholar. I have felt first hand the loving environment we create for the students teaching their minds but also nurturing their spirit. The emphasis on supporting our community through generosity and love to others is a huge part of the mission at SFA and I am proud to teach at a school that instills these values.
