Maureen Rotzoll ~ 1st grade
Thank you for visiting our St. Francis website! I hope that you will love what you find here. This is my 24th year at SFA and I have thoroughly enjoyed coming to work each day. I have taught 1st grade for most of my time at St. Francis. Every year, I work to develop my classroom into a stimulating, encouraging, and adaptive environment so that all my students can thrive and become successful learners. Nothing makes me happier than to have students who love to come to school in the morning.
On a personal side, my husband and I were both born and raised in Chicago, and though we miss it, Memphis is our home now. I earned my Masters Degree in Education from the University of Memphis. Our children are grown, happy, and successful in their personal and professional lives. My two daughters are happily married to wonderful husbands. My son has chosen to follow in his dad's footsteps as an electrician and a year ago passed his certification and is now an Electrical Contractor. Last but certainly not least, I have four adorable granddaughters, ages 9, 6, 2, and 2 mos. It is true when I say that I can’t get enough of them! The older two are swimming beautifully while our toddler floats and splashes around thinking that she can swim. When everyone goes home after a visit my husband and I look at each other with "what just happened here?" expressions on our faces. They do keep us young and busy and very happy!
