Hi! I’m Hazel, the therapy dog at St. Francis of Assisi School, and I have one of the best jobs around—making people smile, offering comfort, and being a good friend to everyone I meet!

My favorite job is reading with our RISE students. I love listening to them read, snuggling nearby, and cheering them on when they tackle a tricky word. I may not know how to read, but I am an excellent listener and I never judge!

You can also find me at special SFA events, like Pet Blessing Day, and greeting students during morning drop-off. I love starting the school day with a wagging tail and a friendly hello. Sometimes all it takes is a little Hazel time to make someone’s morning brighter.

I also love getting dressed up for themed events and holidays! Halloween costumes, Christmas outfits, school spirit days—you name it, I’m ready to put on my best look. I have to admit, I’m pretty adorable in just about anything!

I also have an important job supporting our amazing faculty and staff. When someone needs a little encouragement, a quiet moment, or simply a friendly face, I’m always happy to help. I believe everyone deserves a little kindness and sunshine in their day.

I’m so happy to be part of the SFA family. If you see me around school, come say hello! I’ll be ready with a wagging tail, a happy heart, and plenty of puppy love.

Love, Hazel 🐾
