About Me
Hello!
My name is Leslie Avila and this will be my first year working here as an ESL/Music teacher assistant. I am very excited to be joining the SFA family!! I am bilingual and can read, speak, and write Spanish. Music has also been an integral part of my life since elementary school, so I am very happy to be able to help with two subjects that I am very passionate about!
This year I will also be starting my third year of undergrad at the University of Memphis (GO TIGERS!) I am a music education major and play trombone in the Mighty Sound of the South, 901 Jazz Band, Trombone choir, and many other school ensembles.
During my free time I enjoy reading, baking, and spending time with my family. I am the oldest of 4 siblings whom I love dearly! I am also very blessed with my my parents! I cannot thank them enough for all that they do to help us succeed in life.
I can't wait for the many special moments that we create this school year!
