I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana and attended Catholic schools from elementary through high school. I am a proud graduate of Mount Carmel Academy High School in New Orleans, which has been recognized as a top 50 Catholic School in the United States. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from the University of New Orleans and my Masters in Integrating Technology in May 2017. Recently I have completed Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Launch certification and PLTW
I have been teaching at SFA for almost 10 years. For the past 9 years I have taught 6th grade Math and Science. I am now teaching PLTW in K - 6th grades. I have two children, a daughter who is a senior in high school and a son who is a freshman in high school. Both of my children attended SFA from 4K - 8th.
I believe that learning is a lifelong adventure, and with each learning experience I discover new things to introduce to my students. I learn best with hands-on, interactive activities, and I bring this learning style into my PLTW classroom.
When not in the classroom, I enjoy traveling and trying new foods. My family has traveled to Itlay, Dominican Republic, and many states. My favorite past time is watching New Orleans Saints football!
