Spiritual Activities
A Catholic school with a rich faith tradition, SFA welcomes students of all beliefs. We strive to help each student develop a deep love of God and a habit of prayer. We seek to nurture the attitudes of the heart of Jesus: love, compassion, forgiveness and generosity.
Beginning with the youngest, students come to know God through a variety of experiences. Through the following activities we hope to provide each of our students with an awareness of God’s presence that will invite them to be builders of God’s Kingdom:

Service/Missions
"Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words."
-St. Francis of Assisi
One of the hallmarks of Catholic education is its emphasis on putting faith into action. Helping others, especially the poor, is a fundamental mission that we hope to instill in our students. SFA has established a proud tradition of serving the larger church and community through service projects each year.
In 2007, we established the Timberwolves Food Pantry where canned goods are collected throughout the year. Our eighth grade students count, sort and help to deliver the food to Catholic Charities so that they may distribute to those in need.
We support many organizations and missions throughout the year. These organizations have included:
- Birthright
- Catholic Charities
- Catholic Schools in our diocese
- Project Outreach
- Gifts for God’s Children
- Hope House
- LeBonheur Hospital
- Memphis Food Bank
- Poor Clares Monastery
- St. Francis Animal Rescue & Refuge
- Ronald McDonald House
- St. Jude Hospital
- St. Mary’s Soup Kitchen
- St. Vincent DePaul Food Mission
- Victims of local and national disasters
