Mrs. Carter's Life before and at SFA!!!

My name is Marilyn Carter, and this is my seventh year at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School.  Prior to joining MY SFA family, I taught Kindergarten for Memphis City Schools/Shelby County Schools for 14 years.  During my many years with MCS/SCS, I taught at Brownsville Road Optional School on the edge of North Memphis.  I truly believe I gained a lot of useful and applicable knowledge while developing into the teacher I am today.  God led me six summers ago (2017) to SFA where I brought my two girls because I truly value a Catholic Education.  SFA is an outstanding place.  I have always been welcomed with open arms since day one of stepping foot on the campus as well as valued as a superb educator with a common goal in mind: Educate and grow young minds inside and out with God as our number one teacher!!!

Before teaching At BRS, I attended Rhodes College (3 years)  and The University of Memphis (3 years)  were I earned my BS in Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education preK-4th grade/Spanish.
