Second grade teacher

I am excited to begin my 20th year here at St. Francis!  Thanks to my parents, I was able to attend Catholic schools from first grade through graduation.  They recognized the tremendous value of a Catholic education, and I believe that is still true today.  I love the Christ-centered environment I get to work in each day.  As a second grade teacher I feel honored to celebrate the Sacraments with our wonderful students!  I'm a graduate of the University of Memphis and love cheering on the Tigers and Grizzlies!  I love gathering with my friends to tailgate in the fall.  I enjoy working out and also taking long walks at Shelby Farms.  I enjoy reading historical fiction and biographies that tell stories that inspire me.  A highlight of my trip to Florida this summer was a tour of Kennedy Space Center, and seeing the launch of a Falcon 9 Rocket!  I also have a passion for the patients and families at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  I serve as our school's Math-a-Thon coordinator, have been able to facilitate fundraising efforts for the hospital.  I look forward to another great year here at SFA!
