Admission of Special Needs Students

The Diocese of Memphis promotes a model of inclusion for children with mild disabilities in our schools. We believe that children with mild disabilities can be successful within the classroom setting when strategic teaching methods are utilized and appropriate accommodations are implemented. Unlike the public school system, private schools do not receive state and federal monies to fund special education programs. Therefore, our PLUS program requires a higher tuition rate. Specially trained faculty members have been designated to coordinate services with special needs. They are available to consult with parents concerning strategies to support classroom learning for students who experience such things as academic difficulties, attention disorders and/or problems with perception or speech.

Non-Discrimination Policy

The schools in the Diocese of Memphis do not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, nationality, or ethnic origin in administration of their educational policies, admission policies, scholarships and loan programs, athletic or other administered programs.
